What Lies Between
2025
In this series, I investigate the liminal spaces and mediating forces that constitute the 'between' - that which both separates and connects. Through elusive imagery, I interrogate the thresholds that define subjectivity and alterity: what delineates the self of the present from the self of an hour or a year hence? What ontological and epistemological boundaries persist between the human and the non-human, the self and the body, or the subject and existential threat? The interval - often dismissed as void or absence - is here reimagined as an active site of tension, negotiation, and transformation. Through this work, I aim to unsettle stable notions of identity, agency, and temporality, inviting the viewer to dwell within the in-between.
