What Lies Between
2025
In this series, I investigate the liminal spaces and mediating forces that constitute the 'between' — that which both separates and connects. Through elusive imagery, I interrogate the thresholds that define subjectivity and alterity: what delineates the self of the present from the self of an hour or a year hence? What ontological and epistemological boundaries persist between the human and the non-human, the self and the body, or the subject and existential threat? The interval—often dismissed as void or absence—is here reimagined as an active site of tension, negotiation, and transformation. Through this work, I aim to unsettle stable notions of identity, agency, and temporality, inviting the viewer to dwell within the in-between.
